At Moonlight Co-op, we believe that leadership isn’t just about guiding — it’s about inspiring, encouraging, and helping young people discover who they are and what they can achieve. The right leadership doesn’t just teach skills; it builds confidence, sparks curiosity, and creates a space where every child feels seen, supported, and capable of more than they imagined.
When we made the decision to launch our own Navigator Scouts troop, we knew that choosing the right leaders would be the most important part of building something lasting and meaningful. The heart of any scouting program isn’t the badges or the outings — it’s the people who show up every week to walk alongside young scouts as they grow.
We couldn’t be more excited to introduce the two incredible women who will be leading our Navigators this year: Kim O’Neal and Christine Latham. Together, they bring a balance of practical skills, strong leadership, creativity, and compassion that will set the foundation for an unforgettable scouting experience.

Kim
O’Neal
Kim brings a lifetime of hands-on experience and steady leadership to our troop. She grew up on a farm and knows how to do just about anything!
From fixing things to working with tools, her practical skills, calm demeanor, and levelheaded approach make her an ideal leader for outdoor adventures, service projects, and skill-building activities.
What stands out most about Kim is her steady presence. She’s someone you can count on to lead with quiet confidence and to make sure every child feels safe, capable, and included.
We know that under Kim’s guidance, our scouts will have the opportunity to learn real-world skills and grow into strong, capable young people.
Christine is the founder of Moonlight Co-op and brings an incredible energy and connection to everything she does.
She has a natural rapport with kids, understanding how to encourage, challenge, and uplift them all at once.
Christine is an inspiring leader who blends creativity, organization, and heart, creating a space where every scout will feel seen, supported, and excited to grow.
Where Kim offers practical, hands-on expertise, Christine offers a vibrant, relational leadership style. Together, they create the perfect balance: a team that can handle both the adventures and the everyday moments that make scouting special.

Navigators USA is all about creating opportunities for young people to learn new skills, step into leadership, and find a place where they truly belong. It’s a program built on respect, inclusion, and the belief that every young person has something valuable to offer.
At Moonlight, we know that these kinds of experiences don’t just happen by chance; they happen because of strong, caring leadership. Having troop leaders who embody those same values of patience, encouragement, and open-heartedness is what will make our Navigators troop not just successful, but truly meaningful.
We are so proud to have Kim O’Neal and Christine Latham at the heart of this new adventure. Their balance of practical knowledge, steady guidance, creativity, and compassion creates the kind of environment where scouts can thrive; learning not just about the world around them, but about themselves.
We can’t wait to watch our Navigators grow, lead, and discover all the incredible things they are capable of with Kim and Christine leading the way. This is just the beginning of something truly special.
