Navigators USA - Bristol Chapter

As Moonlight Co-op has continued to grow, we’ve seen a need for more opportunities outside the classroom; a way for students to build life skills, leadership, and community through hands-on experiences.

When we began exploring different scouting organizations, it was important to us to find a program that truly reflected both Article 2 and Moonlight’s core principles: respect, acceptance, confidence, and inclusivity.

After a lot of research, we discovered Navigators USA, and immediately felt that their values lined up with everything we want Moonlight families to experience. It was the perfect fit for who we are and where we’re going.

Moonlight’s Navigator Scouts troop will meet every Tuesday at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church in Bristol during the academic year.

Troop dues are $35 per scout per year, which covers a troop T-shirt, custom vinyl badges earned throughout the year, and basic materials for activities and service projects.

  • Moonlight members (students registered in co-op classes) can join Navigators starting from 1st grade.
  • Students who are participating in Scouts only (without enrolling in co-op classes) are welcome starting from 4th grade through 12th grade.

Our troop will focus on building real-world skills through outdoor adventures, service projects, leadership activities, and plenty of hands-on learning, all in the spirit of community and support. Meet our troop leaders!

Ready to Join the Adventure?

We will review our rosters over the summer and send out an email with details about our first get-together: a meeting where scouts will finalize T-shirt sizes, complete payments, and meet their troop leaders in a fun, casual setting.

We can’t wait to get started and begin this amazing new chapter together!

Navigators USA is a scouting organization built on the foundation of inclusivity, acceptance, and respect for all people.
They welcome youth and families from every background, regardless of race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or ability. Their core belief is simple but powerful: everyone deserves a place where they can grow, lead, and belong.

The mission of Navigators USA centers around outdoor adventure, community service, leadership development, and personal growth. They offer young people opportunities to explore the natural world, build life skills, and strengthen their character — all while creating an environment where diversity of belief and background is respected and celebrated. Navigators is proud to be a truly secular organization, meaning they do not promote or require adherence to any religious or political affiliation.

By encouraging teamwork, stewardship, and exploration, Navigators USA empowers young people to build confidence, develop practical skills, and form lasting friendships. It is a place where every child can step into leadership, contribute their strengths, and feel valued for exactly who they are.
